New GMC Owner Benefits

GMC backs your new vehicle with its no-deductible Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. The entire vehicle is warranted for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct any defect in materials or workmanship, for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first (except normal maintenance). Needed repairs will be performed using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts. The warranty covers towing to the nearest GMC dealership, and there is no deductible for warranty repairs during the warranty period. The warranty transfers automatically with vehicle ownership during the warranty period.

All 2021 GMC vehicles come with a fully transferable, no-deductible, 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty. 1500 Series Light-Duty (LD) pickups equipped with a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, 2500 and 3500 Series Heavy Duty (HD) pickups equipped with a 6.6L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel Engine

The Powertrain Warranty covers repairs due to defects in materials and/or workmanship for components listed below:

• Engine
• Transmision/Transaxle
• Transfer Case
• Drive Systems

Full-size SUVs are equipped with a 3.0L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel I-6 Engine and are covered for 5-years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first).

The Powertrain Warranty covers repairs due to defects in materials and/or workmanship for components listed below:

• Engine
• Transmision/Transaxle
• Transfer Case
• Drive Systems

GMC is proud to offer the response, security, and convenience of the 24-hour Roadside Assistance Program for a period of 5 years/60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for details, or consult your dealer/retailer. Corrosion Protection covered for 3 years/36,0000 miles

GMC vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against corrosion for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your GMC dealer for terms of this limited warranty.

Any body sheet metal panel that rusts through, an actual hole in the sheet metal, is covered for up to 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

A GMC Certified Service expert can help you take advantage of all the benefits Pro Grade Protection has to offer, such as your first maintenance visit during the first year for 2019-2021 vehicles and first two maintenance visits for 2017-2018 vehicles (includes: oil change, Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection, and four-tire rotation), all included with the purchase of your vehicle.

The optional Extended Limited Warranty may be selected for new GMC vehicles only at the time of vehicle purchase. When you choose the Extended Limited Warranty, your coverage is 5 years/60,000 miles, whichever comes first. GMC Extended Limited Warranty has no deductible and the entire vehicle is warranted for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct defects in materials or workmanship, excluding routine maintenance. Needed repairs will be performed using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts. The warranty transfers automatically with vehicle ownership during the warranty period.
