It’s Easy to Return Your Lease

Condition Verification: Sell to DGDG offers are subject to an in-person verification of the vehicle’s condition and details including but not limited to: VIN, mileage, selected trim and equipment, and vehicle history. The offer assumes the vehicle is drivable, unmodified, able to be smogged and registered in the state of California. Any discrepancy may change or void the offer. Other issues that may void the offer include: branded title, commercial use (taxi, livery, government), foreign market vehicle, lemon law buyback, major damage (fire, flood, frame, hail), odometer rollback, or open recall without remedy.

Payment to Seller: A same-day check is available if the seller has vehicle title in-hand, free of any brands or liens, at the time of sale. For loan and lease payoffs (and all other situations) a check to the seller will be issued on confirmation of payoff with lender and title availability, which usually takes a few business days. If there is an active loan or lease on the vehicle, the seller must authorize DGDG to pay off the remaining balance. The seller will receive the difference between the offer amount and the loan or lease payoff amount. If this balance is negative (“negative equity” or “upside down”), the seller is responsible for paying this balance to DGDG at the time of sale. In some cases, subject to credit approval, this balance can be rolled into a new purchase. On some loans or leases, the dealer payoff amount may differ from the seller’s payoff amount. Some leases may not be able to be purchased from the lessor, in which case the offer is voided. The seller is responsible for any outstanding balances such as DMV fees, overdue registration, or unpaid tickets.
